Description:
Are your students still struggling to read smoothly and confidently? Join us for an engaging, practical webinar designed for classroom teachers and interventionists who want effective, evidence-based ways to strengthen reading fluency across whole-group, small-group, and individual instruction.

This session brings the latest research on reading fluency to life—clarifying what fluency really is, why it is essential for comprehension, and how effective fluency instruction evolves across the early grades. You’ll gain a clear understanding of how fluency development intentionally shifts from Kindergarten through the primary grades, and what that means for your day-to-day teaching.

Educators working with Kindergarten and First Grade students—both general education and those who struggle—will explore structured strategies that help readers move beyond sound-by-sound decoding toward smoother, whole-word reading. You’ll learn powerful instructional practices that support orthographic mapping, laying a strong foundation for fluent reading.

Those working with students in later primary grades will examine proven fluency practices that increase words read correctly per minute while also strengthening phrasing, expression, and comprehension—so students don’t just read faster, but read better.

Participants will leave with classroom-ready strategies they can implement immediately to help students become more confident, fluent readers.
