THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2026  7:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST

Description:

Did you know that when we explicitly teach common spelling patterns, it enables children to not only be good spellers, but also good readers?  Join me in ditching memorization and throwing away those pesky weekly spelling tests. In this webinar, participants will discover ways to boost spelling skills with hands-on practice activities. We will dive into creative ways to support spelling proficiency using manipulatives, learning games, engaging dictation practice, and more. Attendees will gain the knowledge of important spelling tips and tricks to build strong spelling skills for K to Grade 3 that will impact later grades, too. These activities can be used to support students in the classroom, small group settings, or one-on-one learning spaces.  What about those 'tricky' words? Yes! Let's talk about the meaningful ways that we can explicitly teach spelling patterns using morphology and etymology.
