- This 86-page, reproducible workbook is perfect for use with students at school or at home, Features engaging coloring, drawing, and printing activities for the 26 uppercase letter sounds from the research-based Lively Letters program. A helpful supplement to the Lively Letters Basic Set (lowercase cards and instruction manual that are sold separately), this Lively Letters Coloring Activity book provides three kinds of activities for each letter sound.
- The first activity has a large coloring book version of each Lively Letters picture letter, along with a shortened version of the letter sound introduction story at the bottom. Using the mnemonic imagery from the Lively Letters picture letter cards, the coloring book versions show the letter characters depicting the correct mouth movements for the sounds. Using powerful mnemonics (memory tricks), these images are directly embedded into the letters.
- The second activity for each letter sound features a large, plain bubble letter. Students can practice their handwriting by printing the letter directly within this image. They could, instead, draw and color the associated Lively Letters character picture embedded into the letter.
- The third activity for each letter sound features a small coloring book version and a small plain bubble letter that can be used for coloring, printing and drawing, or they can be photocopied, cut, and used as flashcards. There are also boxes to draw a picture of a word that contains that sound, as well as handwriting lines for practice printing or spelling words that include the letter sounds.
- Lively Letters greatly improves reading skills in 6-8 weeks with multisensory methods and materials that are as powerful as they are fun for general ed. and struggling readers, including dyslexic and EL students. Published by Reading with TLC, it has been used by over 80,000 educators and 15 million students worldwide since 1990. The program features unique, clinically proven strategies that are research-based and aligned with the Science of Reading and the Orton Gillingham approach.
