Description:
In this engaging session for educators, administrators, and parents, the New York Times bestselling author of Please Stop Laughing at Me and the first voice of the anti-bullying movement walks participants step-by-step through what they need to know to handle bullying situations successfully. Based on her own experiences as a survivor of school bullying and her work inside hundreds of schools, she provides simple, practical guidance that can be easily implemented with palpable results. Everything is from the student’s point of view and brings the audience inside their world. This impactful session includes specific strategies, scripted verbiage, intervention techniques, and life-saving approaches for helping any student in pain. This presentation is strategic and tactical with practical and proven take-aways that are intuitive and that speak to the need in every child to be heard and understood.

In this webinar, Jodee also reveals deeply personal insights such as the worst mistakes the adults in her life made when she was bullied and what she wishes they would have done differently. She also shares the most common complaints she hears from students today about adults and what they want their teachers and parents to know but don’t always have the courage or ability to tell them. This is a thought-provoking and exciting session that not only informs participants, but also celebrates their energy and commitment to youth.
