Description:

As professionals, we must think about, “Who is this child sitting before me - by personality, by academic performance, by IEP description?”  Each child is greater than the sum of the parts that make up their ability to learn.

This webinar will help you think about who any individual child is and the best ways to teach that child, who is so much more than he or she might seem far beyond the label, the presentation, the numbers on a testing protocol…).  Educators have enormous power to build a child into a learner - or not.  We will explore the components of “Who is this child?” and discuss varying approaches to facilitate successful learning.

Whether you are a general education teacher meeting your students for the first time, a special educator charged with assessing new students, or a parent wanting to gain a better understanding of your child’s needs, you don’t want to miss this webinar by a presenter who has received rave reviews for her past Hot Topic webinars.
