Description:

Every student is expected to master academic concepts, but not every student starts on equal footing when it comes to language. For children with speech and language challenges, limited access to language and gaps in incidental learning can create real obstacles to success. In this dynamic and practical session, speech-language pathologist, Sydney Bassard, will show you how to turn your academic curriculum into a powerful tool for language and literacy intervention. Whether you’re a speech-language pathologist, general education teacher, or special education teacher, you’ll learn how to seamlessly embed language goals into everyday instruction.

Walk away with:

  • Evidence-informed strategies you can use right away

  • Activities that build functional communication and meaningful language use

  • Tools that support diverse learners—especially those who benefit from intentional, integrated language support

This session is hands-on, engaging, and packed with ready-to-use ideas that make the most of your existing curriculum while helping all students thrive.
