Description:
Many Speech Language Pathologists working with school-aged children do not realize the amount of therapy activities that can be designed around videos. The presenter will choose a variety of videos that can be found on You Tube and systematically address practical ways to use each one to target different inferential skills with older speech students. All of the suggested therapy ideas will be direct, evidence-based, related to common core, interactive, and engaging. This session will be most appropriate for Speech Language Pathologists working with grades 3 – 12 aged students.
Presenter Bio:
Hallie Sherman M.S. CCC-SLP is a licensed speech-language pathologist that has had over 15 years of experience working in the public schools with older speech students. She is also the CEO behind Speech Time Fun, Inc. where she helps SLPs working with older students plan with ease and confidence through her blog, TpT store, SLP Coffee Talk podcast and her SLP Elevate membership.
