Description:

Movement isn’t just a break from learning; it is learning. This session explores how whole-body learning can supercharge student engagement and language development in classrooms and therapy spaces. Designed for educators, SLPs, and support staff, the training highlights how integrating movement, sensory tools, and flexible space design helps children, especially multilingual learners and those in special education, regulate, connect, and communicate more effectively. Participants will learn how movement can shape attention and language, and will leave with practical, low-cost strategies to create interactive, language-rich environments that support meaningful growth for every child.

Learning Outcomes - Participants will:

- Define embodied learning and how sensory processing and body awareness influence language development, attention, and self-regulation in early and school-age learners.
- Identify whole-body learning strategies that integrate movement and sensory input to support communication and engagement across diverse learners.
- Apply practical, low-cost tools to create flexible, language-rich environments that support spontaneous language use and participation in classrooms and therapy sessions.
