Dr. Zurawski will demonstrate how to target the critical linguistic underpinnings of literacy in order to support the needs of your students with language and literacy disorders.
Included in this high-energy, information-packed webinar will be discussion of practical instructional strategies that are proven to yield significant gains. Strategies that will be presented include the use of summarizing and note taking, higher-order questions, and advanced organizers for improved comprehension and expression. Attendees will also learn effective strategies for reinforcing effort, and will be given tips for creating cooperative learning experiences.
Practicing clinician, supervisor, presenter, blogger and product developer, Lyndsey Zurawski, SLP.D, CCC-SLP has "tried her hand" successfully in various speech and language related positions in her 15 years as a practicing SLP in the public school system. Dr. Zurawski currently is employed by The School District of Palm Beach County as an SLP providing inclusive services to pre-k thru high school students, along with supervising, and working as a district diagnostician. Dr. Zurawski’s focus is on providing collaborative-based inclusive services, literacy-based (curriculum-based) therapy, and
reading disorders for students with speech and language disorders. In addition to her work as a school-based SLP, Dr. Zurawski runs a private practice providing home-based therapy to clients with a variety of disorders.
Dr. Zurawski is an Adjunct Professor for Nova, a national trainer for Reading with TLC (Lively Letters program), as well as a National Consultant on Inclusive Practices, and presenter. FLASHA. She is Past President of the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
