Description:
The National Reading Panel highlighted the need for structured and systematic phonics. For many years, Orton-Gilligham was the gold standard on the International Dyslexia Association website. It is often recommended on many psychological educational assessments. Orton-Gillingham is a print-to-speech approach. More recently, another approach has been picking up traction and that is the speech-to-print approach. Formal training in either approach takes a large time and financial commitment. Come and explore the different approaches so you can make an informed decision about the approach that will serve you and your students best. This session is appropriate for all educators and clinicians interested in furthering their knowledge-based and expertise in delivering science-based phonics instruction. Don't miss this cutting-edge session presented by one of one of the rising stars in the field of literacy.
