TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 2025  7:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST

Description:

Struggling with speech can mean struggling with reading. Get practical, research-backed strategies to identify at-risk students and implement the targeted interventions they need. This dynamic presentation dives into the powerful connection between Speech Sound Disorders (SSDs) and literacy, revealing how phonological processing challenges can ripple into reading and spelling difficulties.

Join us as we explore the crucial role articulation and phonological disorders play in shaping phonemic awareness, decoding skills, and overall literacy outcomes. Through cutting-edge research and real-world applications, we'll unravel the complex overlap between speech and reading disorders—including dyslexia, phonological processing deficits, and expressive language delays.

Designed for Speech-Language Pathologists, special educators, general education teachers, tutors, and literacy specialists, this session will provide you with actionable techniques to bridge the gap between spoken and written language—empowering students to find their voice in both speech and literacy.
