Description:

Clinicians and educators are amazing at helping everyone else regulate, connect, and learn, yet rarely do the same for themselves. If you’ve ever felt stretched thin, like you’re running on fumes, or thinking, “I know I need self-care, but I genuinely don’t have the energy,” this session will feel like a breath of fresh air.  In this webinar, you’ll discover a refreshingly realistic approach to well-being rooted in something you already use with your students and clients every day: play.

We’ll explore the science behind why play is so powerful for stress recovery, uncover your unique play personalities, and learn how to use them to design self-care that actually energizes you, supports your emotional regulation, and fits easily into the life you’re already living, without adding more to to-do's to your already full to-do list. If you’re craving a more sustainable way to show up for the students and clients who count on you, you won’t want to miss this session. Using evidence-based insights and guided reflection (with optional AI-supported prompts if you want to use them), you’ll leave the session with a plan for your Play Menu that feels doable, personal, and sustainable.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Angelyn Franks is a speech-language pathologist, researcher, burnout coach, and co-host of the Chill, SLP podcast who knows what it’s like to love your work and still feel completely drained by it. After years of some trial, but mostly error, chasing the perfect job that wouldn’t burn her out, she realized burnout isn’t just about stress or workload. It’s about misalignment, disconnection, and trying to fit into systems that were never built for sustainability.

Today, Angelyn helps speech-language pathologists, educators, and future healthcare professionals navigate stress and reconnect with what truly matters. Drawing from her research in mindfulness and burnout, Angelyn shares practical, values-based tools through her coaching programs, membership community, and speaking engagements. She’s on a mission to help clinicians create lives & careers that feel sustainable, meaningful, and deeply aligned, so they can continue to show up for their clients, their family, and most importantly themselves
