Description:
Because teacher burnout often stems from challenging parent interactions, Jodee Blanco and Reading with TLC are offering this free live webinar to equip educators and administrators with strategies for calmer, more successful communication. Please share this information with others.

We're all human, and sometimes the relationship between a parent and an educator, or administrator, can become strained. How do you handle those situations with grace and transform them into opportunities for growth? How do you build trust in the face of conflict? In this unique session by two-time New York Times bestselling author, Jodee Blanco, participants will learn simple, practical tools for inspiring consensus and cooperation when there’s disagreement, reinforcing trust by the words they choose and the way in which they present those ideas. Strategies will be shared for handling sensitive conversations with truth and compassion, and for turning potentially tense or uncomfortable moments into windows for deepening the human connection between educator and parent.

Jodee will include empathy-inspired, intuitive techniques for achieving better communication. She will discuss "The Three Tenets of Emotional Credibility in Communication,"  and she will explain how to engage these techniques to make someone feel valued and heard. This session provides a communications toolbox for educators that equips them with what they need to foster healthy, vibrant relationships with parents that benefit students, the school, and the community.

CREDITS: This training offers 2 cont. ed. hours for all, and Certificate Maintenance Hours (CMHs) for Speech Language Pathologists. ASHA accepts CMHs towards the 30 hours needed for re-certification.
