10-22-2026 Game-Changing Activities for Sight Words: Fun, Effective, and Research-Based Live & Recorded Webinar 6:30-8:00 PM EST
Presenter: Marianne Nice, MS, CCC-SLP
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2026 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM EST
Teaching phonetically irregular sight words doesn’t have to rely on flashcards and rote memorization. Join literacy expert Marianne Nice and special educator Keith Nice to explore research-backed strategies that make learning challenging words like “come” and “want” more effective and more engaging.
In this practical, evidence-based webinar, you’ll learn how irregular words are stored in long-term memory through orthographic mapping and why targeted mnemonic supports can improve retention. You’ll also discover how the Sight Words You Can See approach complements the widely used Heart Word methodology.
Packed with hands-on activities, instructional routines, and engaging games, this session gives you ready-to-use strategies that help students master irregular sight words while strengthening both reading and spelling. Whether you use Reading with TLC or another structured literacy program, you’ll leave with tools that make irregular words easier to teach, easier to remember, and more fun to learn.
